Multi Agency Procedures

Telford & Wrekin Safeguarding Children Board revised and re-issued its procedures in September 2007

The procedures give information on how to recognise potentially abusive situations and how to report concerns.

It details the procedures used in any enquiries, the roles of all involved and gives an agreed framework for multi-agency co-operation. The procedures also explain the processes involved including the role of the child protection conference and the child protection register.

Where abuse is suspected or reported and falls within the definitions set out in the procedures, all the partnership agencies have agreed to adopt these multi-agency procedures and follow the actions set out in them.

The Safeguarding Board Procedures can be accessed here.

Should you have concerns regarding a person over the age of eighteen years but who you believe to be vulnerable and being abused, please refer to the Adult Protection Policy at the bottom of the protection of vulnerable adults page.
