This section gives you information about Business Rates which are also known as Non Domestic Rates.
Telford business
The Council collects Business Rates based on property valuations by a separate body, the Valuation Office Agency. The rates collected are not retained by the council but are paid over to central government, which then pools all this income and redistributes it to all local councils on a per capita basis or head of population.

Independent Advice and Support
If you have other debts and you require advice and support there are a number of organisations who offer free and impartial advice. They include:

National Debtline
National Debtline offers free, confidential and independent help over the phone. You can call their helpline and also download publications from their website.

Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS)
The CCCS also has a helpline, providing free, independent and impartial advice to people who have debt problems.

Community Legal Advice (CLA)
If you qualify for legal aid, CLA can provide free help or legal advice over the phone for problems with debt, housing, employment, education and welfare benefits and tax credits.

Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB)
