Copy birth, marriage and death
certificates |
If you require a copy of a birth, marriage or death
certificate and the event occurred within the Borough of Telford
& Wrekin, you can get a copy from Telford & Wrekin Register
Office. You can apply in person at the office or by post. If you
require a certificate for yourself you may also apply over the
phone using a debit or credit card. Certificates will be issued
within 24 hours of your request.
Please note that all certificates requested for family history
searches and genealogy purposes must be applied for by post
enclosing a seperate form of payment for each certificate

should supply the following information:
- Full names of the person at birth (if it is known that the
person has been legally adopted, please telephone the office for
advice).
- Date of birth
- Place of birth
- Father's full; names at the time of the birth
- Mothers full names at the time of the birth
- Mother's maiden name
