| Cost of certificates issued at the time of
registration. | |
When you register a birth, that occurred within the
Borough of Telford & Wrekin, you will be given a short birth
certificate free of charge. If you would like any further
certificates at this time the fee is £3.50 for either:
- a short birth certificate (an abbreviated version of the
birth entry), or
- a standard birth certificate (a complete copy of the entry in
the register, including parents details, and suitable for passport
applications).
The cost of copy certificates other than at the time or
registration is:
- a short birth certificate - £5.50
- a standard birth certificate - £7.00
You can print a copy of the form, fill it in and send it to
the Superintendent Registar at:

Make your cheque or postal order payable to the Superintendent
Registrar and include a stamped, addressed envelope.
