By-election Results March 2008

The results of two by-elections in Telford & Wrekin Council's have been announced.

The vacant Horsehay & Lightmoor ward seat was won by Clive Mollett and this ward now becomes a Conservative held seat. Cllr Mollett won with 358 votes. The vacant Wrockwardine ward was won by Terry Kiernan and this ward remains a Conservative held seat. Mr Kiernan won with 918 votes.

The breakdown of votes is as follows:

The figures in brackets show the numbers of seats before these by elections.

The by-elections for both seats followed the resignations earlier this year of Dr Adam Pringle and David Blackwell.
