Telford & Wrekin Council has announced the date for
the by-elections in its Horsehay and Lightmoor and Wrockwardine
wards.
The vacancy in the Horsehay and Lightmoor ward follows the
resignation of Dr Adam Pringle, while the vacancy in the
Wrockwardine ward follows the resignation of David Blackwell.
The by-elections will be held on Thursday March 13th.
In addition to the Telford & Wrekin Council by-elections,
there will also be a poll on the same day for the Apley Castle ward
of Hadley and Leegomery Parish Council. This follows the
resignation of Glenn Galibardy.
Information about these by-elections will be sent to voters in
the three wards by about February 20th, telling voters how and
where they can cast their votes.
Anyone who wishes to stand as a candidate in these elections
must make their nomination to the Council by 12 noon on Friday
February 15th. Anyone wanting more information about standing as a
candidate can call 01952 383202.
Anyone who still needs to register to vote in these wards or to
apply for a postal vote must do so before 5pm on Wednesday February
27th.
