Borough of Telford & Wrekin

Find out more about the new Trader Register

21 April

As part of the official launch of the Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin Trader Register, Trading Standards representatives are holding Information Days, alongside police surgeries across the borough.

There will be stands with information and freebies to take away, at Asda in Donnington on Thursday 24th April from 9am till 12pm, and at Newport Market, Stafford Street on Friday 25th April from 9am to 12pm.

Trading Standards representatives will be on hand to answer questions you have about the new scheme, which is designed to help people find reputable tradespeople to carry out work on their home.

The Trader Register scheme has been designed to signpost consumers to traders who, whilst not approved by Trading Standards, have signed up to an agreed code of practice and a commitment to good customer service. If any problems or disputes arise, the traders have committed to work with Trading Standards to agree a solution.

The Register is run by Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire County Council Trading Standards and includes plumbers, builders, painters and decorators, electricians, gardeners, conservatory installers and more.
