Residents across the borough can have their say about
Telford & Wrekin Council and the services it provides as
thousands of survey packs drop through letterboxes in the next few
days
Going to over 8,000 homes, this is the largest single survey the
Council has ever conducted and one of the most important.
The survey, which is independently run and analysed, is used to
help plan and improve Council services.
Council leader Andrew Eade said: "This is another part of our
commitment to consult the community right across the borough. The
results will help inform councillors as they face difficult
decisions on the services we provide, particularly in light of the
tough budget settlement expected from Government and the pressures
of our growing population."
"We've also been working very hard over the last year to make
sure we keep on getting better and to improve in those areas people
wanted us to do better in. It also helps us know where people think
are doing well."
The questionnaires will be posted to randomly selected addresses
and take around 10 minutes to complete.
Last year, a similar survey showed that recycling services,
tips, libraries and parks were particularly highly rated by around
four out of five respondents, while half were satisfied with the
way the Council runs things in general. Around one in five were
dissatisfied, with areas for improvement including complaints
handling and maintaining roads.
