accreditation from the British Heart Foundation and Natural England

information.
With this accreditation, 'Wakabout Wrekin' will benefit from being
seen as part of a nationally evaluated scheme as well as being
formally recognised by health professionals, prospective partners
and funders.
Cllr Denis Allen, Cabinet Member for Community Services says:
"Walkabout Wrekin walks are ideal for people who don't feel
confident walking alone and for those who want to enhance their
health by walking as a regular form of exercise.
"This accreditation reflects all the hard work and energy that is
put in by both the Walkabout Wrekin guides, walkers and
organisers."
Jenny Stretton, project co-ordinator says: "I am delighted that
Walkabout Wrekin has achieved this status. The project started in
2001 and has grown year on year. The trained volunteer walk leaders
are integral to its success and the Accreditation award is another
quality standard for them to be proud of."

standards across the WHI network and providing frontline health
