HLC - Staffing

Dr Gill Eatough commenced her post in January 2005 as Principal of the Hadley Learning Community. From day one, extensive work has been carried out creating staffing structures in liaison with Governors and the Unions, interviewing and appointing staff from the existing schools and advertising unfilled posts externally.

The first posts to be recruited were that of Vice Principals (Primary & Secondary Phase) and Assistant Vice Principals (Primary & Secondary Phase).

Paul Topping (ex Deputy Head from Idsall School) was appointed to the post of Vice Principal Secondary and Erica Aston (ex Headteacher of Brindleyford Primary School) to Vice Principal Primary. Existing Headteacher of Hadley Infant School, Kate Whittaker, was appointed to Assistant Vice Principal Primary and existing Headteacher of Orleton Park School, Dave Bowyer, was appointed to Assistant Vice Principal Secondary.

With key members of the leadership team in place, and with their help, Gill Eatough was able to continue with the successful appointment of the remaining teaching and non-teaching staff.
