Childminding Team
Childminding Quality Co-ordinator - Lisa Seymour
The main responsibilities of this role are to line manage a
team of Cluster based Childminding Quality Development Mentors, the
administration of various Grants ansd to ensure that childminders
are supported to implement the requirements of the Childcare act
2006 and that the Every Child Matters outcomes continuously
improve.
This role also takes the lead on Childminder training;-
Briefing sessions / Early Years Foundation Stage / policies
proceedures and paperwork and has very close links with the
Workforce Development Team to recruit and train new
Childminders.
Also National Childminding Association Children Come First,
Childminding Network
and responsibility for Newport Cluster, Prospective, Newly
registered, Existing and Network Childminders aswell as the Support
Scheme and Children Centre links.
Childminding Quality Development Mentors
Mentors are responsible for prospective, newly registered and
existing Childminders within their Cluster area, offering support,
advice and guidance to meet regulations and Ofsted inspections.
They also visit and monitor Quality Assured Network Childminders
and link to Support childminders and groups in local area.
They are also working hard to forge links with Children Centres and
Extended Schools.
