in need and their families in the areas of family support, child
protection, disabled children, children in care (children who need
to live away from home), and care leavers (children who have
left/are leaving

The service carries out its legal responsibilities
through the assessment of need (as described in the Children Act
1989) and providing services to meet these needs. This includes
support to parents, children, young carers, families with
relationship difficulties, disability issues or child protection
concerns. It also includes services such as foster care, adoption
or residential care.

Safeguarding Children Board Telford &
Wrekin Safeguarding Board have approved multi-agency procedures
which all agencies will follow in managing child protection
concerns.

The Integrated Service for Disabled Children brings together a
range of local authority and Health professionals into a single
service to support children and their families.
