Just Say it!
The Young People's Forum (YPF) brings together 14 - 19 year olds
from across the town. There are currently 23 members who meet
fortnightly to share ideas on Council services and carry out pieces
of work that directly relate to the Children and Young People's
Plan. | |

- Substance Misuse.
- 2026 Vision.
- 14-19 Curriculum.
- Play Strategy.
- Bullying.
Training
- Understanding Telford & Wrekin Council.
- Co-facilitating training for Councillors on 'Listening and
Communicating with Children and Young People'.
- Outreach training and visit to Web Youth Club
- Recruitment and selection of Voice and Influence Worker
post.
- Disability Awareness
.Conferences
- Trialling Big 5 Conference workshop.
- Delivering School Council Conference workshop and
activities.
Work
- Meetings with the Children and Young People's Strategic
Partnership Board discuss priorities and targets for the Children
and Young People's Plan.
- Having their say on School Councils.
- Looking back on 2005 and producing an annual report.
- Answering questions for the National Foundation for Educational
Research.
- Being involved in the Scrutiny Review on 'How the Council
involves and consults with children and young people'.
- Gaining Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
- Social events.
- Links with Raise Your Voice Increase Your Choice (RYVIYC).
- Gaining award under Diana, Princess of Wales Awards
Scheme.
- Developing new publicity for YPF.
- Local Democracy Week.Joint meetings with the Chairs
- Group of the Children and Young Peoples Strategic Partnership
Board.
- Consultation on 2012 Olympics to Experion.
- Planning and hosting a young people's event.
- Taking part in substance misuse consultation.
- Giving their views on the development of the Telford &
Wrekin Participation Charter.
- Increasing Membership.
- Delivering the YPF targets in the Children & Young People's
Plan
