Course intended for:- Staff in all types of
settings, childminders, out-of-school clubs, pre-schools, nurseries
and schools.
Course Type: This is introductory training for
workers in all types of settings - private, voluntary and
maintained.
Description: This session is the second in the series of
sessions which focus on equal opportunities within all types of
childcare and early education settings. It will consider the impact
of racism on all young children, and consider strategies to
implement anti-racist practices within early years and childcare
settings.
Amendments to the Race Relations Act and the implementation of the
Human Rights Act now mean that all settings need to take a
pro-active approach to anti-racism. This training will therefore
provide an essential update and an opportunity to review current
practice and develop suitable strategies.
Note: Certificates will only be provided after
you have attended all three sessions.
Expected outcomes: By the end of the session participants will be
