Full Plans application
This requires the submission of drawings with details showing how
you intend to comply with the regulations. We will carry out an
initial vet on this information within three weeks; but have a
minimum of five weeks to check the plans for compliance, unless
extended up to two months.
Building Notice application Suitable for
small works to non-commercial properties, this requires an
application to be made stating the nature of the works, this must
be accompanied by the relevant information i.e. block plan and
drainage plan. Not all works can be carried out on a building
notice; there are restrictions for situations such as building over
or near a sewer.
Regularisation application If you have
carried out works without building control approval, a
regularisation application can be made. The application should
include plans to show how the work complies with the building
regulations and where necessary how the work will be brought up
to the requirement of the Building Regulations.
Only when building control are satisfied that the work complies
with the building regulations will a regularisation certificate be
issued. There is no VAT on a regularisation application.
