The Central Telford Area Action Plan (CTAAP) Preferred
Options Report, as approved by Council on 20th September is
available for comment for a period of six weeks ending at
5pm on Tuesday 6th November
2007.
The Report was previously published in September 2005, but in
response to comments recieved from the Government Office for the
West Midlands, this stage in the production of the Plan is being
repeated to ensure that all options are more clearly
identified.
The Central Telford Area Action Plan is one of a series of
Development Plan Documents (DPDs) that will form part of the Local
Development Framework (LDF) for the Borough. The Action Plan covers
an area of central Telford that includes the Town Centre,
Malinslee, Hollinswood, Central Park and Old Park. It sets a
spatial vision for the area, together with key objectives and
preferred policies and proposals designed to support the
re-development of the town centre and surrounding areas.

The Central Telford Area Action Plan is being prepared within the
context of the LDF Core Strategy DPD. This DPD is currently subject
to examination by Government appointed Inspectors, and will
hopefully be Adopted by the Council before the end of 2007,
following the reciept of a favourable report from the Examination
Inspectors.
After the 5th November the Council will consider responses and
prepare the final Plan for Submission to Goverment in June 2008.
Upon Submission there will be a further six week period of
consultation in which comments on the Submitted Document can be
recieved.
The most up to date timetable for all the LDF documents can be
found in the LDF Local Development Scheme. This came into effect on
3rd August 2007, with copies available to view at
www.telford.gov.uk. | |
