1APP
The introduction of 1APP, a standard application form to replace all existing forms (except minerals) within England, is the only legal way of submitting a planning application from 6th April 2008. It is the latest step in the Government's drive to provide a more efficient planning system.

The benefits

  • a simpler more transparent planning process
  • familiarisation with just one form for all application types and all Councils
  • electronic form intelligently determines the planning consent type (including multiple type of consents) and the planning application form requirements
  • standard information, such as contact details, does not need to be re-entered for future applications
  • a better chance of submitting a valid planning application
  • a tool to calculate the fee payable
  • the option to pay online direct to the authority

Although it is still possible to submit applications on paper, the full benefits will only be realised through it's use as part of the electronically based process. The Council therefore encourages the use of the electronic version wherever possible. Further details can be found on the Planning Portal website.

Alternatively, if you wish to receive a paper copy of the form please visit Planning Portal or contact Development & Design on 01952 380380.
