The Design for Community Safety Supplementary Planning Document

The Design for Community Safety is a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) that has been produced by Telford & Wrekin Council in partnership with West Mercia Police.

It is intended to try to draw together the fields of planning and community safety in order to "design out" crime as part of the development process rather than it being an "add on" at the end. Consequently this document is one that can be used by everyone involved in the development process, from Council Officers assessing new schemes to practitioners involved in creating design proposals.
