Recycle Now with the WasteNots!

A new family has moved into Telford & Wrekin and are finding out the best ways to recycle and be more environmentally friendly.
Follow Mr & Mrs WasteNot and their son Robbie as they learn how we can help you to recycle more and stop all your waste from going to landfill.

Getting started: Mr & Mrs WasteNot have just moved to Telford and want to know how to get started with their recycling.

Mr WasteNot phoned Telford & Wrekin Council's Environmental Maintenance team for information about their grey wheelie bin for household rubbish, green bin for garden waste and red box for recycling.
Mr WasteNot was given all the information he needed on the family's rubbish and recycling collections and what can be put in the different containers.

If Mr WasteNot wants to recycle even more, he can also make use of Telford & Wrekin's four Community Recycling Centres and over 100 Bring Banks.

The WasteNots have just moved home so they may want to recycle some unwanted furniture. They can do this by donating it to Telford charity Chairs & Spares which helps people on low incomes.

Garden waste can be put into the green wheelie bin. But the WasteNots can also help to reduce the amount of garden waste they produce this summer by making use of a Compost Bin.

Are you recycling? Is your bin overflowing? Why not follow the WasteNots' example and see how you can further reduce the amount of rubbish you produce.
