Yellow Woods Challenge.

Telford & Wrekin Council, in partnership with Yell, organises the annual Yellow Woods Challenge. The challenge encourages local schools to collect as many old yellow pages as possible for recycling. Cash prizes are awarded to the three schools that collect the most Yellow Pages as a proportion of the number of pupils at the school. In addition schools have the opportunity to take part in a fun sculpture competition

All schools are contacted with an opportunity to register their interest before the challenge begins.

Between January and March 2008 the following schools took part in the Yellow Woods Challenge:

The following  schools succeeded in collecting 11,725 Yellow Pages, approximately 18% of the total number of Yellow Pages distributed to Telford residents in 2007.
