Borough of Telford & Wrekin

Climate Change

Telford and Wrekin has put together a plan to help tackle climate change.
Global Warming - A Local Response
We know that everyone must take action urgently so that Telford and Wrekin is safe for future generations. Our weather is changing and it will continue to change. In the UK, summers and winters are getting warmer and we are experiencing more rain.

Governments around the world know why the climate is changing and that if we can cut down on the amount of energy that we use, we can make the changes less serious. We can also prepare for the changes by doing things differently in the future.

Throughout March 2008 we have been asking the community of Telford and Wrekin to help us choose what should be in the plan. You may have seen us at Madeley, Wellington or Dawley markets, Telford Car Boot Sale or at your local super market.

Around 400 people and organistaions told us their views. We have pulled all these views together and a final version of the plan is now available.

Many thanks to everyone who took the time to talk to us or returned the survey.
