Adult and Consumer Care

Telford & Wrekin is responsible for delivering a range of services for vulnerable adults living in our area.

These pages describe:

  • the community care and support services available for people who need help because of frailty, illness, disability or substance misuse;
  • the mental health services available to people with mental health needs; and
  • our responsibility to protect vulnerable adults who are at risk of abuse.

See also information on the Citizens Advice Service, which helps people resolve legal, money and other problems by providing free, confidential and independent information and advice.

Advice is available face-to-face and by telephone. Most bureaux offer home visits and some also provide email advice.
