Care Home Fees and the Quality Premium
Scheme |
|
Each year the Council agrees how much
it would usually expect to pay* for placements
in Residential & Nursing Care Homes for Older People. These
costs will be different depending on the types of care being
offered, but are often described as our Standard Fee
Rates.
This year the Council has worked with Shropshire Partners in Care
(SPIC) to develop a Quality Premium Payment Scheme that allows
excellent Care Homes to receive a higher fee
rate. | |
All Care Homes for older
people in Telford & Wrekin, who sign up to the
Council's Pre Placement Agreement, will be considered under the
Quality Premium Payment Scheme. For further
information about the scheme just click on the
link.
The Standard Fee Rates to apply for this year, 2008/09, have now
been agreed with Shropshire Partners in Care (SPIC) and are set out
in the Standard Fee Rate Table:
Residential & Nursing Home Placements for
Older People.
*many people will have to make a contribution to the cost of their
care, and the "Standard Fees" relate to the placement cost
before these contributions are taken into account.
More information about the cost of care and the contributions that
might have to be made is included in a section of our website
called Social Care Money Issues. For more information follow this
