| Over 80% of the care services that we commission
are purchased from Independent, Voluntary & Community Sector
Providers: We spend around £30 million each year purchasing care
services - more than a third of the Council's total annual spend on
goods and
services. | |
Purchased care services range from those focused on low
level support and preventative services, to those offering
intensive residential care to meet complex care needs.
Purchasing of social care services takes place within the context
of the corporate procurement strategy and associated
procedures.
