Accommodation available at the Refuge
The Refuge is all on one site and all the accommodation is
self-contained and
furnished. | |
The Refuge has:
- 5 self-contained flats for larger
families
- 10 bedsits with kitchenettes
- 1 bedsit for disabled with en-suite
- bathrooms/shower rooms/toilets
- Laundry room with washing machine and driers
- TV lounge with books/games
- Kitchen/activity/meeting room
- Private interview/counselling room
- Creche and outdoor play area for the under-5's
- Den for 5-11 year olds
- Large garden area with seating
- Emergency food, clothing and toiletries can be provided if
necessary
and there is a Welcome Pack in each room which gives you lots of
information about the Refuge, the services available and policies
to help you feel safe.
Six members of staff work at the Refuge and are on hand to make
your stay as pleasant as possible. They are well trained, kind and
considerate and understand what you are going through, so please
don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it - the staff are
always on hand to help you through this difficult time.
There are also sessional workers popping into the Refuge - they are
people who help with specific queries or tasks.
The Refuge works with partner agencies to ensure that women and
children staying there get the best possible support.
