Telford Women's Refuge offers a safe place where any woman
- with or without children - who is being ill-treated by her
partner can live in a caring and supportive environment, free from
fear.
The team based at the Refuge are also able to arrange a safe place
to stay for male victims of domestic violence and their
children.
The location of the Refuge is completely
confidential We also have a safe house in the
community which can be used for women with large families, or boys
over the age of 13 who are not allowed in the Refuge.
The Refuge accepts self-referrals (in other words, if you are a
woman suffering domestic violence, you can refer yourself to the
Refuge) and also referrals from other agencies. Wherever possible,
the Refuge staff speak directly to the woman concerned to make sure
that the Refuge is the best option for her.
