What if I am a housing association tenant and have a
problem?
Your first step is to contact your landlord using the links shown
above.
What should I do if my landlord is threatening to
evict me?
Your landlord may ask you to leave your property for a number of
reasons - for example, if you have not been paying your rent.
If you are threatened with eviction you need to act
quickly - our Housing Options Team can assist you with
confidential advice and also liaise with your landlord to try to
prevent the eviction. If your landlord takes legal action to evict
you from the property, the Housing Options Team can advise and
represent you through the legal process.
The longer you wait to get advice, the harder it will become to
keep you in your home and if your landlord asks the Court to make
you leave, you may have to pay Court costs as well.
What should I do if my property needs repairing or
adapting?
As a housing association tenant, you should contact your landlord
to discuss any repairs or adaptations which need to be made to your
property. If your landlord is unable to do any repairs or
adaptations, you should contact our Housing Options Team to see
what assistance is available to
you. | |
