We realise that junior golfers are the future of the
game; with this in mind, we have a strong junior coaching scheme
that develops youngsters from total beginners to advanced players
with official club handicaps.
We offer various activities for youngsters of all ages and
abilities.
Junior Lessons
What lessons are
available?
Individual lessons are available as well
as five weekly courses and junior holiday academies.
What time, each week, are lessons
held?
Individual lessons - bookable at any time, with
the teaching professional.
Five weekly courses - (limited to 16 per session)
Saturdays:
9am - 10am (total beginners) 6-10 years old
10am -11am (beginners) 11-16 years old
11am -12pm (intermediate),
12pm - 1pm (advanced).
Wednesdays:
4.30pm-5.30pm (expert) - advanced tuition all ages
Thursdays:
4.30pm - 5.30pm all abilities - all ages
Cost: £29.45 (Flex), £33.90 (non-Flex), £23.60 (Concession) -
includes certificates

Junior Golf Academies
Get into the swing during school holidays with our junior golf
academies for children aged 6 to 16 years with our resident golf
professionals David Thorp and Matt Lea.
Golf Academy
Teacher Profile
Head Professional David Thorp, has over 25 years in pro golf. David
has a wealth of experience. After a successful playing career, he
has become one of the country's leading golf teachers.
Career highlights: British PGA Cup Player 1980, competitor in 4
Open Championships, twice winner of Midland PGA Order of Merit,
holder of several course records including 10 under par at Telford
Golf and Country Club.
What lessons are available?
Individual lessons:
The best way to learn
all parts of the game. These lessons can be booked through
reception.
Playing lessons:
Essential for learning course management, strategy and rules - 2
hours on golf course or academy course
Group tuition:
Sociable learning, and cheaper. Entry form is available from
reception.
Beginners course:
Mixed group of six - eight. 5 x 1 hour weekly sessions. Free club,
rules of golf, learners guide. Times vary throughout the
year.
Lady and senior improvers:
Group of 6 - 8. 5 x 1 hour session. Times vary throughout the
year.
Juniors:
Saturdays. Including basket of
100 range balls, if required.
Other group lessons can be tailored to suit your requirements.Range
balls are included in lesson fees.Clubs provided for lessons, if
required. Please give 24 hours notice of cancellation, or fee will
be
