Fund for performers and coaches
Introduction The Telford and Wrekin Sports
Scholarship Award is a scheme set up through Telford & Wrekin
Council, to support talented performers and coaches with the
financial demands of training and competing.
We recognise and value the contribution individuals make
towards their sport within the community, particularly in raising
standards and the profile of sport within the district.
Sports must be recognised by Sport England.
The awards are presented by a one off payment at an annual
Scholarship Awards Evening.
Main aims:
1. To contribute towards the expenses of individuals and coaches
training and competition fees.
2. To provide funding for people with disabilities to compete in
their chosen sport.
3. To encourage individuals benefiting from the scheme to
enhance their performance and coaching levels through attending
relevant training courses.

much detail as possible giving information related to performance
