Swimming Lessons & Coaching

Our aim is to provide a quality learning experience for all and to develop skills, techniques and water confidence through a clearly structured lessons programme
Juniors (5 years and over)
Courses of lessons following the ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) structure from beginners and improvers through to Stages 1 & 2, Bronze, Silver and Gold Swimming Challenge Awards.
Please contact the leisure centre for an application form which should be completed and returned for your child to be put on the waiting list.
How long is a course?
Once a week for 10 weeks.
How long does each lesson last?
Lessons are either half an hour or an hour in duration.
When are lessons held?
Adult & Child (under 5's)
Sunday: 3.15pm - 4pm
Beginners, Improvers, Stage 1 & 2
Monday and Tuesday: 4.30-6pm
Wednesday to Friday 5pm or 5.30pm
Saturday: 8am - 12 noon, 6.30pm or 7pm
Sunday: 8-9am, 2.15pm - 5.30pm
Bronze, Silver & Gold
Saturday: 9am - 11am
Speed & Stamina
Saturday: 12 noon - 1pm and 1pm - 2pm
Adult Lessons
Adult lessons are taught by experienced and qualified coaches and are suitable for all ages from 18 upwards.
How long is a course?
Once a week for 10 weeks.
How long does each lesson last?
One hour
When are lessons held?
Tuesday: 8.30pm - 9.30pm
Crash Courses
Crash courses are an excellent way for juniors to develop and progress quickly.
How long is a course?
Every week day for a maximum of two weeks (dependant upon the length of school holiday).
How long does each lessons last?
Half an hour.
When are lessons held?
During school holidays, including half terms. Please contact the centre for availability.
