Bookstart is a national scheme which aims to deliver free book packs to every child in the country under the age of four. There are three packs suitable for children between the ages of 0-4. The baby pack is for babies 0-12 months and the Bookstart + pack for toddlers between 18-30 months.
These can be obtained from the library or from a health visitor. We ask that the child's red pct health record be brought along wherever possible for a slip to be given for receipt.
The third pack, which is a treasure chest for children between the ages of 3-4, is gifted to the children in their early years setting. Your local library or health visitor will be able to tell you which month your child's setting will receive their treasure chests.
If your child does not attend an early years setting please ask for more information on how to obtain the gift at the library or via your health visitor.
Alternatively, you can contact the Telford and Wrekin Bookstart Administrator: Emma Norry on tel :01952 382980 or by emailing: emma.norry@telford.gov.uk
