Borough of Telford & Wrekin

Road Safety in Telford and Wrekin

Our overall aim is for people to be safe however they choose to travel on our roads. This is achieved through engineering, education, encouragement and by working closely with the Police on road safety enforcement.

Contact the Road Safety Team for matters relating to Road Safety Education, Training and Publicity or Safe and Active Travel to School.

Contact the Traffic Management Team for matters relating to Road Safety Engineering. This includes local speed restrictions, weight restrictions, traffic calming and general road safety engineering issues.

If something on the highway is damaged, broken or dangerous report a street fault using the online form.

The local road safety strategy is outlined in the Borough's Local Transport Plan 2006 to 2011 (pdf). This also contains the Borough Road Safety Plan which explains how we aim to prevent crashes on our roads.
