| Each year a number of road users are killed and injured
on our roads. Over the last five years the numbers have been going
down, but there is still much work to be done in this
area. | |
Road traffic casualty information is broken down into the
following road user groups
- pedestrians
- cyclists
- car occupants
- powered two wheeled vehicles (PTWs)
- all other casualties
Local casualty information is usually updated after April each
year. For the 2006 data the estimated official population of the
Borough was 161,599
