Graffiti and vandalism

Graffiti is defined as any drawings, patterns, scribbles, messages or tags that are written, painted or carved on to a wall or other surface.
Graffiti is criminal damage.

We have a dedicated Graffiti Busters team which aims to rid the borough of all graffiti.

We have made a promise to you that we will respond to offensive graffiti within 2 hours of it being reported to us.

The service is available for residential and other privately owned property and is free of charge.

We do request the completion of a disclaimer being completed prior to the works being carried out.

Vandalism is defined as any damage or destruction of property.
This is also criminal damage and can include buildings, street furniture such as benches, lighting, bins, trees and bushes etc.

We have powers to prosecute offenders where evidence is available and welcome all reports of graffiti and vandalism as well as other anti social environmental problems.
