Keeping Telford & Wrekin Clean |
| The Environmental Maintenance Team is responsible
for keeping Telford and Wrekin looking neat and tidy. According to
the Audit Commission the borough is still one of the cleanest
places to live in the
country. | |

To maintain these high
standards, it is our job to remove street litter from adopted
highways and public open spaces across the borough.
Street sweeping is carried out regularly to make sure public areas
and highways are kept free from litter and debris.
We are also in the process of providing even more litter bins
across the borough so hopefully less people will litter our streets
with their rubbish.

clean it is? According to latest Audit Commission figures, we are
currently rated one of the cleanest authority areas in the UK. But
we would like to be number one - so what do you think we can do to
be even cleaner?
