| Telford & Wrekin Council has, through the Local
Transport Planning process, introduced a number of successful
measures to improve transport and accessibility within the Borough.
The Council still faces a considerable number of transport
challenges especially with the regeneration and growth of the
Borough up to 2021.
The Council, through effective transport planning and
partnership working, will ensure that the Borough has the right
sustainable transport network to meet the challenges that lie
ahead.
The Transport Policy team is responsible for:
- development of transport policies and strategies;
- production of the Local Transport Plan;
- transport input into Local Development Framework;
- monitoring and analysis of transport data; and
- liaison on national and regional transport issues.
