It is impotrant that the strategy for the continuing
development of transport across the Borough not only supports a
vibrant, safe and prosperous economy but also helps to protect and
enhance the quality of life.
The Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) evaluates the second
Local Transport Plan in full and recommends measures, where
appropriate, to lessen any adverse environmental impacts of
implementing the strategy. This ensures that the environment is at
the heart of the transport planning
