Adoption is a means of building families, of providing for a child or children who cannot, for whatever reason, live with their birth family. An Adoption Order gives adoptive parents all the legal rights and responsibilities that had previously been held by the birth parents. Many different people are needed:

• married
• single
• in a partnership
• with or without children

You must be over 21 years old, but there is no upper age limit. You must be fit and healthy, able to provide a stable and loving home throughout childhood and beyond. Applications from different races, cultures, sexuality and religions are welcomed.
