Donnington Business Units

The project will build high specification office accommodation for a flexible number of Small, Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The offices will support job creation through the employment of 40 permanent employees in the growth and cluster sectors.

The project will support economic development and is expected to contribute £1,050,000 safeguarded sales to the area.

The project is due to complete November 2007.


Progress April to June 2007

Office Development at St Georges Road, Donnington: Ground stabilisation works have been completed. The concrete foundations to block A and B, have been cast and the steel frames are currently in the process of being erected.

July - September 2007

Due to the significant changes that had to be made following the discovery of the mineshaft, revised drawings were re-submitted to the Planners on 8th August 2007 and planning permission was granted.

The steel order work for Block C is due to commence in early October. The construction programme illustrates a project completion date in mid-February 2008.

An Officer from Government Office West Midlands visited the site on 15th October to review the progress on site

To date, the following suites have been reserved by prospective tenants and contracts are in the process of being drawn up:

Conwy House - 2 suites (2 businesses)
Longdon House - Complete block (1 business)
Montford House - 2 suites (2 businesses)

An editorial was published in the Business Pages section of the Shropshire Star on the 6th August 2007

An advertisement was featured in the Shropshire Star on the 17th September 2007

Promotional literature publicising the new office development has been created and distributed to various sectors. Additionally, property particulars have been forwarded to all commercial agents, Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, Transforming Telford and current T&WC tenants
