National Volunteers Week
Volunteers' Week is an annual event which celebrates the fantastic contribution that millions of volunteers make across the UK.
The week plays a huge part in raising the profile of the millions of volunteers who regularly contribute to society, while inspiring others to get involved too.

| Wednesday 1 June | Multi-agency Roadshow - The Green, Next to the Glebe Centre , Wellington - 12-3pm This event has been organised by Wrekin Housing Trust in partnership with Telford & Wrekin Council and other organisations to involve local residents and help to address local issues. |

Arleston gardening competition - leaflet distribution for this annual event which aims to encourage local residents living in the ward to get involved in healthy activities. It also aims to improve the local environment and celebrate local people who make the effort to make their garden beautiful. |

Brookside Improvement Group (BIG) - Community Litter Pick - Brookside Community Centre This independent residents' group organises regular litter picks on the estate, as well as other activities. New members are always welcome and can contact the secretary at goepfert_petra@hotmail.com or the chairperson on 01952 929366. |

Clean Up in the Community Square, Urban Gardens - Urban Gardens Square is centrally located in a small housing estate in College ward of Wellington. It was revamped by volunteers from Capgemini last year and is now ready for its annual clean up. Between 1-4pm local residents will be carrying out a mini clean sweep project to improve the local environment. |
