Children's social care training

We offer training and development opportunities to the social care workforce. This incorporates both the statutory and the private, independent and voluntary sectors. A formal training plan is developed each year from identified need and statutory training requirements. This is supported by arranging attendance at a range of conferences, discussion groups and training events with a specialist focus.

The team actively support the placement of students in Telford and Wrekin undertaking their professional qualification in social work at all levels. In undertaking this we maintain strong links with local higher education institutions to ensure that the placement experienced by the student adequately equips them to undertake the role of a social worker.

We also maintain a small library of subject specific books which are available to loan.
