The Early Years Foundation Stage was implemented in childcare settings in September 2008. The Children's Workforce development team provides training to support the implementation of this new framework.

EYFS Training Sessions

Part One : 3 hour session
Find your way around the different levels of information in the pack. Look into the themes, principles and commitments. Consider what good practice looks like when using the EYFS.

Practitioners attending this session should bring a copy of the EYFS pack with them.

Part Two : 3 hour session
How do you plan appropriately for children? Good planning will start from observation and assessment of the children's development and learning needs. How will you plan for all the children in your care?
