Housing strategy

Telford & Wrekin Council's future housing plans and priorities are set out in its Housing Strategy - 'A Question of Balance - A Growing, Sustainable Community', please note that the strategy is currently being updated.

Telford & Wrekin Council plays a very important role in housing locally. The Council is no longer a direct provider of housing (a landlord), but it retains its equally important strategic housing role.

This includes:

• assessing local housing needs
• making the best use of existing housing stock in the area
• planning and facilitating new housing supply
• planning and commissioning new housing support services
• securing effective housing and neighbourhood management
