Depending on what type of vehicle you are using when visiting our HRC, you may require a permit, these can be used at either HRC site.
Important information: please check that your vehicle type is able to visit our HRC sites before applying for E-permits, this includes hire vehicles as you may be refused access, see 'Vehicles unable to use the HRC' for more information.
What are E-permits?
On Monday 16 January 2017 we introduced the new E-permits system, so no more bits of paper to find before you head out to the HRC sites, the E-permits are also allocated to the household now, so any resident living at the property can use the E-permits if their vehicle type requires permits and is accepted on site.
We no longer require the make/model or registration of the vehicle when applying for e-permits.
The old style paper permits, previously issued to residents of Telford and Wrekin, will still be accepted until 31 March 2018.
How can I get my E-permits?
To apply an E-permit you must first sign-up for a My Telford account and then select the ' Recycling permits' link to register for an E-permit.
Once you have registered for your E-permit you will receive a confirmation email, then all you need to do is drive to either HRC site with your driving licence as proof of address and a site operative will verify your information electronically, which will then deduct the visit from your total of permits allocated to the household.
You will even get a reminder email when you have 1 E-permit left to check when you can apply for more, details of how many E-permits you have are found on your My Telford dashboard.
You will no longer receive paper permits and you can't print E-permits.
Please note only residents of Telford and Wrekin are eligible to apply for E-permits, we allow 10 E-permits per household over a 12 month rolling period.
