Notice of Public Rights

In accordance with the Audit Commission Act 1998 and Regulation 9 of the Accounts and Audit (England) Regulations 2011.

Notice is hereby given that from 4 July to 29 July 2011 excluding weekends, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, any person may inspect and make copies of the accounts and other specified documents of Telford & Wrekin Council for the year ended 31 March 2011 at Telford & Wrekin Council, Civic Offices, Telford, TF3 4WZ, telephone: 01952 383702.

Notice is also given that on or after 1st August at 9:30 am until the completion of the audit, the auditor will be available to take questions about the accounts and receive objections to any matter in respect of which the auditor could take action under Sections 15 and 16 of the Audit Commission Act 1998, or could make a report in the public interest under that Act.

Questions may be received at the Civic Offices, Telford, by arrangement with the auditor, Michael McDonagh, KPMG LLP, One Snowhill, Snow Hill Queensway, Birmingham, B4 6GH, to whom requests for this purpose should be addressed. No objection may be made unless the auditor has previously received written notice of the proposed objection and its grounds.  A copy of this notice must be sent to Paul Clifford, Corporate Director, Telford & Wrekin Council, Civic Offices, Telford, Shropshire, TF3 4WZ.
