A mobile library regularly visits areas furthest from branch libraries; download the mobile library timetable and week numbers. During week 3 it visits nurseries and residential settings.
At the mobile library:
- you can borrow books and talking books on CD or cassette
- the stock is changed regularly so there are always new items
- you can make a reservation for a particular item
- there is free internet access
Anyone and everyone can join the library if you show official proof of your name, such as a bank card.
Home Library Service
The Home Library Service is a free service where we can offer a regular delivery of books to your door. It is available to anyone who finds it difficult through age, disability or responsibility of caring for someone else to use their local library.
When you apply, a member of staff will visit you to explain the service and discuss reading tastes.
We can supply the books in different formats such as large print or audio books on CD. We also have books in various European and Indic languages.
Please note: you do not have to be a current member of the library to request the service.
