Explore Telford’s recent heritage at Southwater Library. As part of your visit you can discover images of Telford from the recent past.
We have been busy looking through the Telford Development Corporation (TDC) Archive, much of which is held at Shropshire Archives, Shrewsbury and have selected around 150 images from various locations in the Borough where the TDC documented the work they were doing.
The digital table is a really exciting way to explore these photos with family and friends as you can move the images around the table and enlarge them to see finer details.
It's a wonderful way of reminiscing or discovering for the first time what Telford looked like between the 1960s-1980s.
The areas that the photos cover are:
- Town Park and Town Centre
