CultureFest 2012

Telford Town Park is adjacent to Telford Shopping Centre and Telford International Centre both of which offer car parking for customer use. Fees apply on all of these car parks.

Redevelopment work is currently taking place between Telford Shopping Centre and Telford Town Park. The CultureFest event activities are taking place in the Arena in the Park.

The closest car parks are Brown Elm (fee payable), Council Civic Offices car park (free all day on Saturdays) and Telford International Centre (fee payable). Walking routes from these car parks are as follows:

From Brown Elm car park and Civic Offices

Proceed along Southwater Way - this is the road that runs along the back of these car parks parallel to the trees which border the Park.

As you approach the end of the road and the Southwater Development construction site, turn right up the pathway behind the back of a series of green fenced gardens, following the Telford Town Park and CultureFest diversion signs at all times.

The pathway will take an immediate left turn, follow this towards the Band Stand.  

You will see the spiders web and play areas straight in front of you.

Having reached the play areas looking south you will see the large green Arena. You will also see the Norman Chapel, a stone structure, and immediately behind this are two temporary buildings, 1) a Ranger Base; and 2) Temporary Toilets.

From the International Centre/Ice Rink Direction

Head from the International Centre Car Park along the path that leads you up and into the Park by the War Memorial which is at the top of the Arena. Proceed past the War Memorial and down the steps into the Arena.

On foot from Telford Shopping Centre

From any of the other Telford Shopping Centre car parks, walk into the Shopping Centre and head out of the Centre along Sherwood Street and Southwater (past JJB and Next).  The shortest route is to follow the pathway and turn right past Wilkinsons and then left through the walkway onto the Southwater car park. Walk across the car park and follow the Park and CultureFest event signs up into the park.

Hot and cold food and drinks will be available to purchase from concessions located in the Arena.
