Moving to a school in Telford and Wrekin

If you are moving or have recently moved to Telford and Wrekin you will need to find a school place for your child in the 2011-2012 academic year.

Since September 2010 Telford & Wrekin School Admissions Team have had a duty to co-ordinate all admissions into maintained schools in the borough including voluntary aided, foundation, trust and academy schools.

This duty applies to applications for places at the normal points of entry (the start of the Reception year, Year 3 and Year 7) and also in respect of applications for places required at other times.

Parents of children living in Telford and Wrekin must complete an in-year application form to apply for either a school within Telford and Wrekin or a school in another Local Authority (LA).

A family living in another LA area but wishing to apply for a place at a Telford and Wrekin school must complete an application form from their 'home' LA, for example the LA that collects your council tax. View contact details for the Admissions Teams of neighbouring LAs.
