Telford & Wrekin Council as a member of the Safeguarding Adults Board has adopted The Safeguarding adults: multi-agency policy and procedures for the West Midlands.
These policies and procedures have been developed to meet the requirements of 'No Secrets' and the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services National Framework and can be found on SCIE website
Advice for Professionals – safeguarding guidance for professionals and practitioners
Telford & Wrekin Practice Guidance documents have been developed locally to support safeguarding adults practice. This guidance is to be used in conjunction with the Safeguarding Adults: Multi-Agency Policy and Procedures for the West Midlands by any Adult Social Care practitioner or manager who has responsibility for undertaking or participating in adult safeguarding investigations.

To make sure that people who work in different branches of adult health and care in our area are competent and equipped to carry out their respective roles, we have developed a competency framework. This sets out the skills and competencies which we require all staff in the field to have or to be actively working towards.
